		<description>A reminder that this also applies to automatic transmissions. (Just because you don&#039;t have a clutch pedal doesn&#039;t mean you&#039;re allowed to be clueless ;) ) When driving down a long mountain pass for example, you want to put the vehicle into second or even first gear to take advantage of engine braking. This can be safer than leaving the vehicle in drive and relying solely on the brakes all the way down.</description>
